Preschool Run n' Fun

Preschool Run N Fun is a beginner movement class for ages 4–6 that introduces the basics of running through games, obstacle courses, and fun challenges. Kids will build important skills like balance, coordination, speed, and confidence while staying active in a supportive environment. Our goal is to help young athletes develop a love for movement, teamwork, and healthy habits through play.

Ages

Appropriate for children 4-6 years old who can follow the directions of a coach with minimal parent intervention.

When

Monthly program that meets once per week. Sign up occurs every month.

Where

Classes are held at Lake Temescal on the South Side entrance.

Practices

30-minute classes held once a week.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What should my child wear?

Please have your child wear comfortable clothes, athletic shoes, and bring a water bottle to each class.

2. Do parents stay during class?

For Tots (ages 2–4), parent participation or close supervision may be encouraged depending on the child’s comfort. For Preschool (ages 4–6), parents are welcome to stay nearby while children participate independently.

3. Does my child need prior running experience?

No experience is needed! These classes are designed for beginners and focus on fun, movement, and building confidence.

4. What will my child learn in class?

Children will practice basic running, balance, coordination, listening skills, teamwork, and age-appropriate movement through games and activities.

5. What happens if my child misses a class?

We understand things come up! While make-up classes may not always be available, we encourage consistent attendance so children can build skills and routine.

Preschool Run N Fun is an exciting beginner running and movement class designed for children ages 4–6. Through age-appropriate games, running drills, obstacle courses, and playful challenges, kids will build fundamental skills like balance, coordination, speed, and body awareness. This class introduces the basics of running while encouraging teamwork, confidence, listening, and a positive attitude toward physical activity. Our goal is to help young athletes develop a strong foundation for movement while having fun in an energetic and supportive environment.
