The Oakland Cubs is a youth running team. We are part of USATF and AAU and participate in cross country in the fall and track and field in the spring. Our team consist of recreational and competitive runners of various ages.
The youth runners learn running technique, teamwork, sportsmanship, resiliency, among other life skills, all while having fun. All practices and competitions are age appropriate and based on years running.
All youth are welcomed to join. No child wanting to participate will be turned away.

Regular Session Practices: Wed/Fri 5:45-7:15p and 10a-12p Sun @ Joaquin Miller Park (if no meet)

Is your athlete interested in working on speed and technique for track and field? If so, the fall speed class is for them! Fall speed and hurdle training will take place for athletes ages 10 and older. They will go over technique, form, and drills to increase speed strength and power.

TF Regionals 2023
Get ready for the 2023 Cross Country season. The season start the week of August 25th and runs mid-December for those looing to advance to the National Junior Olympics in Louisville, Kentucky.
Practices will be Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:30-7:00p and Sundays 10:00a-12:00p for those 8yo and above. There will be two 8U options: Session One will practice on Tuesdays from 4:45p-5:30p and Sundays 9:15a-10a and Session Two will practice on Tuesdays from 4:45p-5:30p and Saturdays 9:15a-10a. the 8U class is for those that born in 2016 or later.
