ARE YOU NEW TO RUNNING?


New to Running

Runners and athletes of all levels are welcomed to join the Oakland Cubs. Runners are placed in groups based on running age, which can differ from biological age. Technique, speed, and endurance are improved throughout the season for all runners.

The best part of running is that you get to combine a team sport with an individual sport. You get the support and social aspects of a team, and also can focus on personal goals as an individual. Also, we are a multi-aged team, so athletes get to grow with one another season after season. While other teams are divided or separated as athletes get older, in running we are all one team, which aids in the support and connection of the team.
